Contact usTravel through the largest open-air, living museum in France and visit the timber houses, farms, school, chapel, train station, artisan studios, sawmill, etc.
Enter into the lives of the countryside inhabitants at the beginning of the 20th century and discover the exceptional heritage in the Ecomusée d’Alsace, which is displayed in many forms: habitats, artisan creations, cuisine, agriculture, as well as nature and landscapes with its gardens, river, fields…
Combine the past with the future: traditional celebrations, daily events for everyone, demonstrations, amazing temporary exhibitions, trips on barges or horse-drawn or tractor-pulled carriages, all at the ecomuseum. Since 2014, the space has focused on the future and the major challenges of tomorrow in terms of habitats, agriculture, nature and “living together”. The creation of a new space dedicated to the theme of “Living in the 21st century in Alsace” forms the beginning of this wonderful project: the Ecomusée d’Alsace is also a museum concerned with today’s society.
