Musée Electropolis

The Electropolis Museum is the most important museum in Europe dedicated to electric energy.

People of all ages are invited to experience electricity in all of its forms. The visit is centred on 3 subjects: the full story of electricity, its history from antiquity to the 19th century, and from the 20th century up through the modern day. In the electrostatic theatre, participate in electrifying demonstrations like the ones put on in the 18th century. And during the multimedia show put on many times daily, you can also admire the large Sulzer-BBC alternator steam machine, an outstanding example from the industrial heritage of Mulhouse and an artefact from the era of world fairs.
