Historical Museum

Created in 1864 and located in the magnificent setting of the former Town Hall, a testament to the Rhenish Renaissance, the Historical Museum boasts extremely rich collections (furniture and costumes, tools and toys, maps and portraits) with, in particular, the famous Klapperstein, the “gossip’s stone”, and reconstructions of period interiors. The themed tour throws light on the history of Mulhouse and showcases the Alsatian art de vivre of the past.
